Why Provow exists
The name
Provow is two words.
Pro — the florist loading a van at 5am, the DJ who reads a room, the officiant who steadies two nervous people. The ones who make the day actually happen.
Vow — the reason any of it matters. Not an "event." A promise people plan to keep for the rest of their lives.
The wedding industry treats both like transactions. We built Provow because they aren't.
It's a Pro. It's a Vow. The name is the mission.
The problem
It's 11pm. Forty tabs open. Every vendor page says the same three adjectives. You've sent the same message eleven times and heard back twice — once from someone booked on your date.
Planning the best day of your life has quietly become a second job. Nobody signed up for that.
The system underneath it
Here's what most couples never see: on most platforms, you are the product.
Your inquiry gets sold as a "lead" — often to several businesses at once, each paying for the introduction whether or not you ever reply. Rankings follow ad budgets. "Featured" means "paid." And every lead fee a pro pays has to come from somewhere: it's priced back into your wedding.
The model taxes the introduction. So the model works hardest at the exact moment it should get out of the way.
What we refuse
So we drew lines and built the company on the other side of them.
We don't sell leads. A pro answers your post because they want the job, not because they paid for your name.
We don't rank by who pays. There are no ads and no sponsored slots.
We don't take a commission. Book whoever you want; the price is between you.
We don't hide people from each other. Post once, and the pros who serve your area come to you.
Nobody pays to talk. That's not a promotion — it's the design.
And how is any of that paid for? Today it is not — there is no revenue at all. How we make money
How it works instead
You post your event once — date, place, what you need. It goes on the live map. The professionals who actually work your area send proposals. You compare real answers and choose.
One rented table or a fifteen-vendor wedding. Same free post.
Skin in the game
Our concierge starts reaching out to local pros the moment you post — and keeps going until someone answers. The Concierge Promise
No lead-selling platform would ever make that promise. Their model stops caring the moment the lead is sold. Ours only works if you actually find your people.
Why now
This model wasn't practical before. Someone had to do the searching, and directories decided it should be you.
Now our AI Concierge can genuinely search on a host's behalf — finding the pros who serve your area and inviting them to respond, with a human keeping the promise behind it. The work finally moved to the right side of the table.
Who's building this
Provow is small and independent — built by a founder, not a lead-generation company with an ad department to please. Every rule above stays true because there's no one to sell you to.
We measure one thing: did you find your people?
The two moments we built Provow around
- The Pro — "It's a Pro." The moment a post receives its first proposal. Someone real, nearby, raised their hand for your event.
- The Vow — "It's a Vow." The moment a host marks a professional as booked. Plans became a commitment.
