There's no posting fee, no subscription, and no charge to receive proposals, message professionals, or compare them side by side. You only ever pay the professionals you choose to hire, on the terms you agree with them directly — Provow doesn't take a commission or a cut of your bookings. Creating a post takes about two minutes: your event type, date, location, and the services you're looking for.

How do proposals work?

After your event is posted, local professionals who match your requested services can respond with proposals. Each proposal includes the professional's business name, a personal message, and their pricing — shown as a flat rate, a range, or a starting-at price — so you can compare offers side by side in one place. Reviewing a proposal doesn't commit you to anything. When one looks promising, reply in the in-platform inbox to ask questions or discuss details.

What should I include in my event post?

The essentials are your event type, date, location, expected guest count, and the services you're looking for. From there, a sentence or two of detail goes a long way: the style or feel you're going for, anything you've already booked, and any must-haves all help professionals send proposals that actually fit your event. You don't need a budget figure to post, though sharing a range can lead to more realistic pricing from the start.

How quickly will I hear from professionals?

It varies — there's no set timeline and no guaranteed response. What matters most is your location, the services you need, and how far out your event is. Provow is open across the United States, and how many professionals are already active differs from city to city. If you'd rather not wait, the optional AI Concierge can start a first round of outreach for your approval right after you post.

Can I communicate with professionals inside Provow?

Yes — conversations happen in Provow's built-in inbox, so questions, details, and proposals stay in one organized place instead of scattered across email threads and DMs. You can message professionals directly from their proposals and keep separate conversations going with several pros while you compare. Because messaging stays on the platform, you don't have to share your personal phone number or email while you're still deciding.

How do I choose between proposals?

Compare the basics side by side first: pricing, what's included, and how specifically each professional responded to your event. Then go deeper on the ones that stand out — ask questions in the inbox, look at their profile and portfolio, and do the same diligence you'd do for any business you hire, since Provow doesn't endorse or verify professionals. There's no penalty for asking several pros the same question. The right fit is usually whoever combines fair pricing with answers that show they understood your event.

Do I need to decide right away?

No — there's no deadline and no obligation. Your post stays active until your event date (or until you close it), and you can take your time comparing proposals, asking questions, and reviewing each professional before you commit to anyone. You're never required to pick a professional through Provow at all; if none of the proposals fit, you can simply let the post close. Booking terms, timing, and payment are always worked out directly between you and the professional you choose.

Does Provow charge anything when I book a professional?

No. Provow doesn't add booking fees, service fees, or markups, and doesn't take a commission from your booking. The price you agree with a professional is the full price — payment, contracts, and terms happen directly between you and them. Provow's role ends at the introduction; the booking is yours.

What if I've already booked some of my vendors?

That's common — just post for the services you still need. If your venue is booked, you can mark that on your post and display the venue name, which helps the remaining professionals understand the setting they'd be working in. One post covers everything that's left, whether that's one service or five.

Can I post more than one event?

Yes — each event gets its own post and its own pin on the map, with its own services, proposals, and conversations. If you're planning several celebrations — say, an engagement party and the wedding itself — keeping them as separate posts keeps the proposals organized. There's no fee for additional posts.

What happens to my post after the event date?

Posts close automatically once your event date has passed, so you won't keep receiving proposals for an event that's already happened. You can also close a post manually at any time from your dashboard — for example, once you've booked your team. Closed posts come off the public map and list, but you keep access to your post and its conversations from your account.

What if my post gets no proposals in the first week?

That's what the Concierge Promise covers. Is Provow available in my city?

Yes — you can post an event anywhere in the United States, and professionals anywhere can browse and respond. Coverage differs by city: in some places pros are already active, and in others your post arrives before they do. That gap is what the Concierge Promise is for — if your post doesn't draw proposals, we go out and contact professionals for it rather than leaving you waiting. Posting is free everywhere, so it costs nothing to put your event on the map.

How does AI Concierge help Hosts?

AI Concierge is an optional assistant that can take the first step of outreach off your plate. After you post, it looks for relevant local professionals based on your requested services and event location, organizes them for you to review, and prepares a draft message to each one you select. Nothing is ever sent automatically — you approve or edit every draft before it goes out, and you can ignore the concierge entirely and simply wait for proposals instead.

Who is Provow best for?

Provow works best if you're early enough that you're still deciding, and you'd rather compare a few real answers than send the same message twelve times. Post your event once — date, city, guest count, what you still need — and professionals who serve your area send you proposals. You read them, ask questions, and choose. It works for weddings and for everything else people plan: birthdays, corporate events, quinceañeras, showers, memorials, fundraisers. It's less useful if you already know exactly who you want. If you've got their number and you're ready to book, contact them directly — that's faster than posting. Provow is for the part before that, when you don't yet know who's out there or who's free on your date.

What happens if no vendor responds to my post?

First, that's the question worth asking before you post anywhere. Most platforms don't answer it, because their answer is nothing — you sent inquiries into a directory and whether anyone replies is between you and them. Here's ours. If those rounds bring nothing, your post lands on a person's desk, and they go looking by hand. What we can't promise is that a particular professional will reply, be free on your date, or fit your budget. Those decisions belong to them. What we promise is our own action: that we keep going while your post is open, and that today it costs you nothing, whether five pros answer or none do. It's less useful if your date is a week away. How do I compare wedding vendor proposals?

Four things decide it, and price is only one. What's actually included. A caterer at one per-head figure and one at another aren't comparable until you know whether staff, rentals, cake cutting and gratuity are in or out. Ask each one what would appear on the final invoice that isn't in the quote. Whether they're confirmed for your date. "Available" and "I'll hold it" are different things. Ask which. What happens if something goes wrong. Illness, weather, a broken lens. A professional who's worked enough weddings has an answer ready. One who hasn't will improvise. How they answered you. The proposal is a work sample. Someone who read your post and responded to your actual event is telling you how they'll behave in the six months before it.
