Who can use Provow?

Provow is built for two roles: Hosts planning a wedding or event, and professionals offering wedding and event services. Account type is chosen at sign-up.

What types of professionals can I find on Provow?

Provow covers venues, planners, photographers, videographers, photo booths, DJs, live music, emcees, makeup artists, hair stylists, caterers, bartenders, bakers, florists, decorators, balloon artists, lighting designers, officiants, rentals, and audio/visual providers.

Can I browse Provow without signing up?

Yes. Anyone can browse the public map, view active posts, and explore city and category pages without an account. You only need to sign up to create a post, send a proposal, or message on the platform.

Is Provow only for weddings?

No. Provow supports weddings, parties, corporate events, fundraisers, quinceañeras, bar/bat mitzvahs, and other celebrations. Weddings are a major focus, but not the only one.

What makes Provow different from directories and review sites?

Provow is built around live event requests and location-based discovery. Instead of searching profiles one by one, Hosts post what they need and receive proposals from relevant local professionals.

Where is Provow available?

Provow currently serves the United States, with deep coverage for major U.S. cities and wedding destinations. You can browse the public map without an account.

Is it free to post an event on Provow?

Yes — posting an event on Provow is free for hosts, and it stays free. There's no posting fee, no subscription, and no charge to receive proposals, message professionals, or compare them side by side. You only ever pay the professionals you choose to hire, on the terms you agree with them directly — Provow doesn't take a commission or a cut of your bookings. Creating a post takes about two minutes: your event type, date, location, and the services you're looking for.

How do proposals work?

After your event is posted, local professionals who match your requested services can respond with proposals. Each proposal includes the professional's business name, a personal message, and their pricing — shown as a flat rate, a range, or a starting-at price — so you can compare offers side by side in one place. Reviewing a proposal doesn't commit you to anything. When one looks promising, reply in the in-platform inbox to ask questions or discuss details.

How does posting an event work?

Hosts share event details — date, location, guest count, and the services they need — on the map. Local professionals in range see the request and send proposals with pricing and availability.

How does Provow work for Hosts?

How do I choose a professional on Provow?

Hosts compare proposals side by side, view professional profiles, message directly, and choose the professional that best fits their needs and budget. Booking and payment are arranged directly between you and the professional.

What happens after I post my event?

Once your post is live, professionals can respond with proposals. Provow Concierge (/ai-concierge) may also help surface relevant local matches for your review.

Can I edit or close my post later?

Yes. You can return to your post to make updates, review activity, or close it at any time when you are no longer accepting proposals.

What happens to my post after the event date?

Posts close automatically once your event date has passed, so you won't keep receiving proposals for an event that's already happened. You can also close a post manually at any time from your dashboard — for example, once you've booked your team. Closed posts come off the public map and list, but you keep access to your post and its conversations from your account.

Can I select more than one service category?

Yes. Hosts can describe every service they need so a single post reflects the full event and attracts more relevant responses.

Can I message professionals before deciding?

Yes. Provow supports in-platform messaging so you can ask follow-up questions and review fit before moving forward.

Do I need to decide right away?

No — there's no deadline and no obligation. Your post stays active until your event date (or until you close it), and you can take your time comparing proposals, asking questions, and reviewing each professional before you commit to anyone. You're never required to pick a professional through Provow at all; if none of the proposals fit, you can simply let the post close. Booking terms, timing, and payment are always worked out directly between you and the professional you choose.

Is it free to join Provow as a professional?

Yes — during our launch phase, Provow is free for professionals: creating a profile, browsing requests, and sending proposals all cost nothing. There are no per-lead invoices and no commission — if a host books you, you keep 100% of what you charge, and payment happens directly between you and the host on whatever terms you agree.

How do I find event requests near me?

Every event request on Provow is pinned to a live map by its location, so you can see what's happening in your service area at a glance — no account needed just to browse. Open the map or list view and filter by service category, city, and event type to narrow it to requests that fit what you do. Each pin shows the event type, date, guest count, and the services the host needs, with the host's exact address kept private until you're in contact. When a request is worth pursuing, create a free profile and send a proposal directly to the host.

What should I include in a proposal?

Every proposal includes your business name, a personal message to the host, and your pricing — as a flat rate, a range, or a starting-at price. The strongest proposals respond to the specifics of the post: mention the date, the area, and the services requested, and explain briefly why you're a good fit for that particular event. Hosts compare proposals side by side, so a clear, specific message and realistic pricing matter more than length.

Can I withdraw a proposal?

Yes. Your proposal activity lives on the My Proposals page, and you can withdraw any proposal at any time — for example, if your date becomes unavailable. Withdrawing simply removes that proposal; it doesn't affect your profile or your ability to respond to other requests.

Can I communicate with Hosts inside Provow?

Yes — once you've sent a proposal, conversation with the host happens through Provow's in-platform messaging, so questions, details, and follow-ups stay organized in one place. Early conversations stay privacy-conscious for both sides: you don't need to exchange personal contact information just to discuss an event. Provow doesn't sit in the middle of your booking — when you and a host agree to work together, the terms and payment are directly between you.

How do I improve my visibility on Provow?

Start with a complete profile: a clear business name, a real bio, your categories, and your service areas — that's what hosts see when they're comparing. Photos help your profile stand out, though they're optional; a styled placeholder runs in their place. Beyond the profile, the biggest factor is responsiveness: professionals who reply to relevant requests promptly, with specific and professional proposals, tend to get more engagement from hosts.

How do I appear on Provow’s city and category pages?

Provow publishes directory pages for each city and service category — for example, wedding DJs in Los Angeles — and your profile is included automatically once three things are true: you've chosen a category, you've set at least one service area, and your account is approved. No extra opt-in is needed. Photos are optional; a styled placeholder runs in their place until you add some. What name do hosts see?

Hosts see your public display name everywhere on Provow — on proposal cards, your profile, and search results — so use the business or stage name you want to be known by. Your account email and personal details stay private. You can edit your display name anytime from your profile.

Why is my business listed on Provow if I never signed up?

Some Provow listings are unclaimed profiles built from publicly available business information, which helps hosts see who serves their area. If it's your business, you can claim the listing for free to manage the details, add photos, and start responding to event requests. If you'd rather not appear on Provow at all, request removal at pro-vow.com/vendor-takedown and we'll honor it.

What service areas can I cover as a professional?

You choose the cities and areas you serve — one or many — and you can update them anytime from your profile. Your service areas determine which event requests you see when browsing and where your profile appears across Provow's city pages. Choose the areas you genuinely serve; hosts value professionals who actually work where their event is happening.

Will Hosts see my contact information right away?

Provow is designed to support communication through the platform, helping keep early communication more organized and privacy-conscious.

What does Provow AI Concierge do?

Provow AI Concierge is an optional assistant that helps hosts take the first step of vendor outreach after posting an event. Once your event is live, it looks for relevant local professionals based on the services you requested and your event's location, organizes them for you to review, and can draft a personalized message to each. Nothing is sent automatically — you review every suggested professional and approve or edit every draft before any message goes out. It's there to save you the cold-start work of finding people and writing that first note; you stay in control of who you actually contact.

Does AI Concierge send emails automatically?

No. Every outreach draft is shown to you first, and nothing is sent until you explicitly approve it. You can edit the wording, change the tone, skip a suggested professional entirely, or stop at any point — the concierge never acts on your behalf without your approval.

Can I edit the outreach drafts?

Yes — every draft is fully editable before it sends. You can adjust the tone, rewrite the message in your own words, or add details the draft missed, and you approve each message individually. If a draft doesn't feel right, skip it; nothing goes out without you.

How are professionals selected?

The concierge starts from your post — the services you requested and your event's location — and searches current, publicly available information to find local professionals who appear to match. The results are suggestions, not endorsements: Provow doesn't verify or guarantee any professional, and an occasional suggestion may be a weaker fit, which is exactly why every match is presented for your review before anything happens. You decide who's worth contacting.

Can I still browse professionals manually?

Yes — the concierge is optional, and nothing about it replaces browsing on your own. You can explore professionals through Provow's map, lists, and city and category pages whenever you want, and you can use both approaches on the same event: let the concierge organize a first round of outreach while you browse manually for anything it missed.

Is AI Concierge only for weddings?

No. The concierge works from whatever you post, so it supports any event type on Provow — weddings, birthdays, quinceañeras, anniversaries, corporate events, and private celebrations. If you can post it, the concierge can help organize the first step of outreach for it.

Is AI Concierge available in every country?

Not yet. AI Concierge outreach currently supports the United States. If outreach is not available in your country, you will see a clear message and can join the waitlist to be notified when it becomes available.

Why is AI outreach only available in certain regions?

AI Concierge sends real emails to real businesses on your behalf, so Provow enables outreach country by country to meet local email and compliance requirements. Outreach currently supports the United States.

What can I do if AI outreach is not available in my country yet?

You can still use Provow to post events, browse professionals, receive proposals, and message directly. You can also join the waitlist to be notified when AI outreach becomes available in your region.

I received an email from Provow Concierge — why, and how do I stop them?

That email means a host on Provow posted a real event and asked us to reach out because your business matched the services and location they need. There's no charge to respond — joining Provow is free, and replying connects you with the host inside the platform. If you'd rather not receive this kind of outreach, every concierge email includes a one-click unsubscribe that permanently stops all future concierge emails to your address.

What is the difference between a post and a proposal?

A post is created by a Host to describe an event and request services. A proposal is sent by a professional in response to that post.

What happens when I receive a proposal?

You can review the proposal, compare it with other responses, and decide whether to continue the conversation.

Can I receive multiple proposals for one post?

Yes. Multiple professionals may respond to the same request, giving Hosts more options to review.

Can I message through Provow?

Yes. Provow supports in-platform messaging so Hosts and professionals can continue the conversation more safely and clearly.

What does "Saved" mean?

Saved posts let both hosts and professionals bookmark event requests to revisit later.

Can I close a conversation?

Yes. You can archive conversations when they are no longer active, helping keep your inbox organized.

Can I share a post with someone else?

Yes. Public posts have a direct URL you can share with anyone. Guests can view shared posts, but must sign up to interact.

Does Provow verify or guarantee professionals?

Provow does not endorse, guarantee, or verify any vendor. Hosts are responsible for reviewing proposals, confirming credentials, and signing their own contracts.

How does Provow protect private addresses?

If your event is at a private address, Provow never displays it — your event appears on the map as a city and an approximate nearby area, not an exact pin, so professionals can tell whether you're in their service area without knowing where you live. If you've booked a public venue, you can show the venue name so professionals know exactly where they'd be working. Either way, your personal contact details stay private, and you decide what to share and when, in direct messages with professionals you choose.

How do I report something on Provow?

Use the report button on any post, message, proposal, or profile. Reports are reviewed promptly and kept confidential. For urgent safety concerns, email support@pro-vow.com.

Should I share personal contact details right away?

Provow encourages users to keep communication within the platform first and to avoid sharing private information too early.

When should I send payment?

Users should avoid sending payment until they are comfortable moving forward and have confirmed booking details and a written agreement directly with the professional.

How does Provow keep the platform safe?

Posts and messages are automatically reviewed before they go live, and anything on the platform can be reported in-app. Reports are reviewed promptly.

What happens if my content is blocked?

If something you post or send is flagged, you'll see a clear message explaining why and how to fix it. Most issues can be resolved by editing your content.

Can I switch between Host and professional in the same account?

No. Account type is confirmed during sign-up and cannot be changed later. If you want to use the other role, you'll need to create a new account.

They work in opposite directions. On directory sites like The Knot and WeddingWire, professionals maintain listings and couples browse and reach out to them one by one. Provow reverses it: you post your event once — date, location, budget, what you need — and it appears as a pin on the map, where local professionals find you and send proposals directly. Instead of contacting vendors and waiting to hear back, you compare the proposals that come to you.
